Our good friends Jill Collier Warne & Mr. Cameron Blake have been raising funds for a great school music program they created a few years ago; Creative Connections! The idea behind this project is bringing professional musicians into city schools, and for a whole week work with kids to compose and finally perform original works. What a great way to inspire kids and get them excited about different kinds of music they may not already be exposed to.

Creative Connections’ kickstarter project has already successfully met their goal, but it never hurts to help out more. Scenic Route Records and it’s artists want to show our support for this great program, so we’ve been donating the sales from our digital releases to the cause! Last week, the Water kicked it off with their brand new release Scandals & Animals. Today through next Friday, The Manly Deeds will donate the digital sales of their full-length Hard Times for the Animal Kingdom. So not only can you help a great cause, but you can also download some great music.
